Workshop

A bit overdue but on 21st of March I led a workshop in Punkt Zwrotny for groups that advanced in “Zwolnieni z Teorii” competition. My audience were young people who made projects connected to sustainability, environment and fashion. I told them about the production process and explained the whole journey cotton must undertake to become a T-shirt. They then looked for potential unethical or unsustainable actions that can be taken in each production stage in fast fashion brands.

I was very stressful but a valuable experience. The experience showed me how breaking down the cotton-to-T-shirt journey into stages helps people identify sustainability issues in fashion. Most importantly, I learned that stepping outside my comfort zone, despite the stress, creates valuable teaching moments and builds my confidence.
