“Ma in Japanese Fashion” - lecture

On 27th of November I attended a lecture by Rafał Reif on contemporary Japanese fashion especially in relation to his new book “Ma, between the body and clothing. The history of modern Japanese fashion” (my own translation) held in the Japanese embassy.

Mr. Reif spoke about the five principles of Japanese fashion: minimalism, deconstruction, form, black/color and avant-garde using the three designers described in his book: Yoji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and Issey Miyake. It was a very interesting lecture where I learned a lot. I am also very happy to have met mr. Reif and that I was able to buy the book.
